Ah HA! My first fitness competition. So I sign up for this camp full of ladies with the same interests as me! Well, not the wrestling part but working out and healthy lifestyle. Awesome! I go there and instantly fall in love with it all! The girls, the coaches, the atmosphere just everything. Chatting with girls and seeing the coaches and how the girls got ready to get onstage. Watching several fitness routines. I was in! I get home after the weekend and immediately sign up with the coaching team. I pick my show. Ordered my suit and on my way to emptying my bank account. LOL! No one lets you know this part. You are going to spend some serious cash when you compete. My bikini, a freakin bikini I would never in a million years wear anywhere else, cost my $400. Yes you read that right. $400!! That's a car payment! But it's ok because I'm going to get skinny, get onstage, impress judges, impress WWE and of course get a job with them. Duh! $400 was totally worth it!

So, I get my plan for my show and it turns out it's the same plan every other girl is on. Workouts are exactly the same for each girl. Nutrition plans....Yup! You guessed it! All the same. For a split second I thought "Wait. This can't be right. How is that 4'11 girl going to eat the same amount of food as me?" Of course I just shook it off like a little solider and said "Noooo. These guys are the professionals. They know better than me." Also, as a wrestler you just do as you're told. No questions asked. If you have to take 16 bodyslams in a row during a practice you just do. Just like 1200 calories while doing cardio for about 2 hours per day while fitting in weight training you just do.

What else no one tells you is you will work like you never have before for about 3 months. You will become this crazy little warrior and not think twice about your fasted cardio. Wake up at 3 am to get to the gym by 4 am for an hour of cardio, go to work, go back to the gym for weights, get back on cardio, food prep, finally make time for a shower then pass out to repeat for 3 months. This is why competitors get cranky everyone. They aren't exactly living the life! LOL! I was lucky enough to get morning sprints that had to be outside in the Northeast during Sept, Oct and Nov. Friggin COLD!

So on top of all that sunshine and rainbows I was also wrestling every weekend. Practice was 2-3 times per week on top of all that. Unfortunately, that was seen by my competition coach as everyday life and extra food would be considered cheating on my program. Hello! Wrestling practice. Wrestling shows. That was normal life. OOOOKKKK. LOL! So I definitely got skinny! I definitely dropped about a good 15-20 lbs. But I was drained, beat up and struggling at my everyday job that I was still balancing. It was hard to focus. You would hear other competitors talking about starting to cry for no reason at all on their low carb days and the coaches say "Yea, that'll happen when we play with your nutrition." That's normal? At this point any liquid or food in your body needs to be saved! LOL!

So finally it comes to show day and I had no freakin clue what I was in for. Firstly, tanning. You turn into an Ompa Lumpa. That orange/brown. You stop showering about 3 days before the show. Shave absolutely every part of your body. Slap on about 5 lbs of make up and another 12 in hairspray. Up close we look like Ompa Lumpas in drag. I loved it! Oh! And I had a match the night before my first show. I also was water depleted and had to stop drinking water at 7 pm the night before the fitness competition. Well, the wrestling show starts at 8 pm and my match was an hour into the match. AWESOME! After the match I thought I would going to die! Lots of ice cubes!

Anyways, day of show I was so happy to step on stage as the pretty skinny tan girl! I made it! I followed plan, made my sacrifices and followed through to my goal. I was so proud and exhausted! LOL! That night after the show I did like every other competitor and binged! I ordered 2 different appetizers, a burger with fries, a beer and dessert. I also threw up half way through and then went back for more. My body had no idea what was going on! And that was just the start! There was a whole weekend ahead of me. And that will be my next post : )

To be continued....... Oh! And here's some awesome photos LOL. My posing was absolute shit in these and I giggle every time I see them LOL!
Once upon a time I was a bookkeeper. Yes, I had this happy little desk job and I worked 9-5 and had a little cubicle in an office with no window and strangely resembled the movie Office Space. At this point I hadn't dieted or watched what I ate. I drank beer, smoked butts, ate pizza you know, the healthy type of girl. My normal weight to walk around (without exercise) was 138. 138!!! I wore whatever I wanted and didn't think twice! Beach in a bikini bahh! Not even a question. I owned like 50!

Then one day I decided I wanted to change. I wanted to get healthy. I had started hanging out with a group of people who went to the gym and did their idea of healthy eating. I wanted to give it a go. I was 21 and started trying to run around the neighborhood. Funny thing is I grew up in Boston. Now, in the above paragraph I fessed up and said I was a smoker....in Boston....IT'S F'N COLD! I literally almost threw up the first time I went running. I thought I broke my lungs! So, I took my broken lungs and started at a gym on this crazy elliptical machine. I didn't even know the name of it! I knew I had a similar effect of broken lungs but no frost bite to go with it. Bingo! Now I'm a cardio bunny! 1 hour on the elliptical? No problem! Once I quit smoking lol!

Now I'm working out, I'm trying to research in magazines what eating healthy actually is, I'm quitting smoking, going to the gym and then I find pro wrestling. For the first time in my life I'm actually decent at a sport! See I danced for about 10 years and sports just weren't my thing. Give me some ballet shoes and I'll plie like a mofo but throw a ball to me and we're more along the lines of Marsha Brady in that amazing Brady Bunch episode.

I LOVED WRESTLING! The training was a little tricky being one of the only girls but I kept going back and working as hard as I could. I wasn't super strong so I tried learning more about weights from the boys. The only thing was boys (no offense) like to lift for boy muscles. i.e. arms, chest, shoulders and back. You aren't going to get much more than that lol. But I didn't know anything so I followed and kept up as much as I could. Just when I thought I was doing well and getting my groove someone used the term SkinnyFat on me. I didn't quite understand what that meant. How can I be Skinny and Fat??? Then they were kind enough to elaborate. "Well it's when you're skinny but jiggly". Yes, this was said to my face and numerous times. How the F*&k do I fix skinny fat??? So I went to work and listened to every bit of advice I got. "You need to eat more to get muscle" "You're already pear-shaped so don't work your legs. They'll get bigger." "You need more cardio to tighten up" "You need to eat less to lean out" "You should try Atkins. You get to eat bacon!" So starts my lovely road to skinny....

At the beginning of wrestling I was known as the little girl. The one everyone threw around. Yeaaaa I'm 5'8. It's pretty awkward to throw around a girl my size even if she weighs 138 lbs. After awhile I got better at my craft and was able to actually hold my ground some. Then I started to get some weight on myself. Traveling became a big part of my life and I lived on and off in Mexico for a year and a half. It was amazing! I loved it! AND....I was able to get strong and put on some muscle while I was there since my main focus was wrestling and working out. When I came home I was a different lady and proud of it! My wrestling style had changed along with my body. No more skinny fat for this broad! I was feeling confident until one day when I was going to send in video of what I thought was good work and a fit looking chick and my trainer turned to me and said "Do you see those girls on TV? Do you seriously think you look like that?" How do you answer that??? You know he was asking for a reason. So I never sent the video. I then decided I would again see where I could get info on how to "eat healthy".

Through my research I found out about competing. How amazing was this??? I get to workout, eat healthy, get the look of the girls on TV and I get onstage (where I love to be) and look like a barbie. And wait! No one is going to punch me in the face??? BRILLIANT! I'm all in! I was lucky enough to meet a young lady who was getting her nails done at the same time as me and she was tan. Oh I mean tan. And cranky! LOL! My guess right away was she must be a competitor. Lucky she was and I didn't look like an idiot when I asked her. LOL. She gave me info to a woman who was close by and had a smaller team. I reached out to her and bam! I was getting ready for my first competition.

I've added some photos from this time and will be doing Part 2 of my Road to Skinny soon. Hope you enjoy!! Love any feedback : )

<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"> I
have always been one of those people who have struggled with her weight, ever
since I stopped playing soccer 3 years ago. I’m not really sure what happened,
but I think I lost motivation and drive to work out because I had no reason to
without soccer. I slowly gained weight, but it was not that much. After I moved
to Tampa, I already started noticing weight gain and I did not like my body AT
ALL. So the first winter break back home I got a trainer for the month and lost
9lbs. I was very excited and determined to keep my weight loss journey going.
However, that is not how it played out. I came back to school and relied too
heavily on other people to work out with me that I would only do it if someone
came with me. At the same time, I was trying to juggle school and a social
life. Looking back on it I don’t know why I made it seem so hard. Anyways, the
spring semester after having a trainer did not go well because from then until
last year I kept gaining weight until I reached my weight of 191lbs. During
this time I became depressed and mad at myself that I could get that big and
that unhealthy. I started trying to do lose weight the wrong way, such as,
skipping meals. When I realized that wasn’t working I did the opposite and
started binge eating. That mixed with barely working out at all landed me where
I was before I went to LA fitness and met Nikki. I just couldn’t handle the way
I looked anymore. It was hard for me to like myself or even look at myself in
the mirror. All I wanted to do was sit in my room and do nothing. After many
failed attempts at weight loss and getting tired of feeling down; I decided to
join a gym and look into getting a trainer. I knew I needed a trainer to push
me and provide me with the knowledge of how to balance working out and eating
right to meet my goal.

What was the most
difficult part of the switch?

<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;"> Once I started
training with Nikki I had very high hopes that I would drop the weight in about
6 months. Well that was not the case at all and I could not understand why I
wasn’t seeing changes after <span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">about a month. I thought I was eating the
right way and I knew my workouts were good, but there were no results for my
hard work. Then it was brought to my attention that I really wasn’t eating as
healthy as I should be, so Nikki started me on a nutrition plan that has been
the secret to my success. Food was the reason I got as heavy as I did, so I had
to retrain myself to eat healthier and have smaller portion sizes. Also, I have
such a sweet tooth that I used to eat candy and ice cream whenever I wanted and
when I started I was cut off from all of that, so it was definitely an
adjustment to change my eating habits.
thing that got me through it was the fact that I knew someone was watching
exactly what I ate and I had to weigh myself every week. I had to tell myself
that I needed to stick to the nutrition plan or else I wasn’t going to lose the
weight I wanted to and I would let down my trainer. At the same time, that is
why I wanted a trainer because they would hold me responsible for my actions.

workout or not.

I am very excited about this goal! I believe it will give me the end result I

Nikki Raczynskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13364206592728968907noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5976707484642182179.post-11155748230115282072014-01-29T18:18:00.000-05:002014-01-29T19:53:05.073-05:00Back At it!Soooo, I haven't done this in a bit :/ But, now I'm back : ) I've now relocated to Tampa, FL. I've retired from my former profession as a pro wrestler. I've attempted to compete this year (and not so happy with that). This is my main reason for this blog.

Many people in my circle know how much I've battled with weight issues. I've been relieved of my wrestling duties (one of the many times) because I didn't look "competition ready" as I had previously. I've yo-yo'd up and down with my weight. Gotten some amazing body image issues. My body and mind have gone through a lot. Allergies I never had before and now incorporated into everyday life.

Now, onto the good stuff lol. The past couple months I have finally gotten this issue under control. I'm still working with some of the body image issues but my health is amazing! My weight is under control and I can't be happier! This week has really been a turning point and the universe has let me know I'm on the right track. People have started to see a difference in me and my "leaning out". What's actually happening is my body is finally mine again. I've been prepping for the Spartan Race that will be taking place here in Tampa on Feb 15 and doing along side our team that was brought together to race. I've seen huge changes and I'm loving it! I have a goal which is great and a great group to go with it.

This all started with a facebook message from a girl I competed with over a year ago. Melissa Folster who is a WBFF pro competitor reached out to me and suggested I try Advocare and since then it's been life changing. She introduced me to Liz Cort who is also a huge inspiration. Thank you so much ladies for all the guidance and for changing my life.

Now, on to the future... I will be accepting 1 question (only legitimate questions. Not can I get a follow) every 2 weeks. Wrestling or non. I would prefer to switch off but I'll do my best. You can tweet it, post it here or I will be accepting smoke signal ( but only if you live close).

Hope you guys are curious! Send them in! And, keep up with our team for the Spartan!! Cheer us on!

Spartan Track DayNikki Raczynskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13364206592728968907noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5976707484642182179.post-74701513539102814502013-02-05T15:18:00.001-05:002013-02-05T15:18:33.511-05:00Mix-It-Up MondaysHelllloooo World!!!

So, last month most of you guys attempted Meatless Mondays and there was lots of upset carnivores but you made it thru! I'm so grateful for the support from you guys! There were wrestlers, fans, friends and family that participated and seriously you all made an impact. I hope lots of you will choose to keep incorporating the Meatless Monday to help the animals, the earth and your own little universe.

Now, on to this month. I'm hoping to get Mix-It-Up Mondays going. I'm challenging you to detox from sugar for the day. The only sugars allowed are all natural (i.e. fruits, honey or agave). For some of you this will be more difficult than it sounds. This takes away processed foods, refined sugar and lots of juices unless they are homemade. You'd be surprised how dependent some of us are on sugar and after the weekends (which is when everyone has the most fun) your body will welcome the break.

Refined sugar can be sneaky. Lots of people are unsure of what it actually is. It's actually made from sucrose which is extracted from raw sugar cane or sugar beets. It's also known as granulated white sugar, brown sugar, fructose, sucrose, dextrose, malt syrup, and high fructose corn syrup. On an average most Americans consume about 355 calories from sugar each day! It's usually recommended that the average person only consume half of that if a male and a little less than half for females.

With this over consumption of sugar we're looking at health issues ranging from obesity, tooth decay, hypoglycemia, diabetes and vitamin and mineral depletion. With that being said, let's make a change! Let's embrace a sugar detox once a week. And if you're feeling frisky let's have both Meatless Monday and Mix-It-Up Monday!

Thanks for the support and can't wait to hear how well everyone does!
I promise it's not because I love the catchy phrase, which of course I do! It's because if we start on a Monday, the beginning of the week, hopefully the healthy trend will carry through the week. Not necessarily the meatless part but conquering the challenge of controlling your eating habit you can keep it rolling! With that being said, let's take a look at the environmental and health impact of participating in "Meatless Monday".

Environmental

We'll be cutting down our carbon footprint in so many ways! Think of the land and natural resources used for the livestock and housing the livestock. The gas used to transport animals and the product. Studies show that 1,800-2,500 gallons of water go into the production of 1 pound of meat. This is just one example! Not to mention you can help prevent animal cruelty. How many of you change the channel, get misty eyed or turn away during the ASPCA commericals? This is another way to help!

Health

The vegetarian diet has numerous effects on your health. Starting with reducing your risk for cancer, heart disease and diabetes to name a few. Incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet will help increase fiber and other nutrients in your body which help with fat loss, boost energy levels and living longer.

Now I know the meat industry isn't going to cut down their production or the demand is going to disappear but just 1 day per week will actually make an impact! And making better decisions when choosing your meats throughout the rest of the week will help too. So let's give this a try!

-Look for locally raise, grass-fed, free-range organic meats and poultry.
-Leave the small things out (i.e. bacon bits)
-Buy sustainable fish. (not from anywhere that might overfish)
-Organic eggs, milk and cheeses
-Add more veggies in your meals

So this year has been amazing for myself and so many people in my life. I'm so grateful for the past year and the amazing experiences/people that have come into my life. I'm not going to list everything because it'll take up the majority of this blog and I will for sure forget someone or something. LOL. But, one thing I'm totally going to share is I had the opportunity to go home and be with family and friends who are just like my family. It was amazing to get grounded again and reconnect with all of them. The tricky part was saying goodbye again. Goodness! It was so tough! But it was tough for a great reason. I have so much love that surrounds me. It's such a blessing! Now we're back in Tampa and I'm ready to get this new year underway! I've have got a list of goals to get started on and getting this blog up to date is one of them! LOL! I would love feedback from everyone if they have some subjects they would like me touch upon please send an email here and let me know.

Also, I would love to be your New Year's Resolution! If you'd like to be a part of my team (Roxx Stars) send an email.

Thanks everyone!
Hugs!
In 2 days I'll be shooting with Domenic Trapassi www.facebook.com/domenic.trapassi and I'm beyond excited about it!! New photos are always exciting for me and you guys!! LOL! I finally got all my ideas together today. Thankfully! (silly diet brain)

In 4 days I'll be stepping onstage with The WBFF www.wbffshows.com for Kevin Topka's www.newenglandfitnessweekend.com . This is something I started training for back in June after their June 2nd show. I've put everything I have into this one. I always thought I worked hard before but somehow I managed to work harder. My ladies at Braintree Get In Shape where I used to work as their trainer know I was getting up at 330 am to get my morning cardio in. Doing doubles but for my own training and for their training. Finding ways to take a nap in between the shifts. Eating a whole different way and somehow a whole new drive came from it. My body is completely different from what I had brought to the stage back in June and I couldn't be happier! If anything I know I'm bringing the best me I can possibly bring. I can't do anymore than that.

In 4 days it'll also be the last weekend I have living here in New England. Talk about emotional roller coaster! My mom, brother and sister-in-law are coming to spend the weekend in Providence with me and I am so incredibly grateful! They'll be coming to the show and yelling their faces off (or better be yelling their faces off!) Also, a large group of my ladies from Get In Shape are going to be attending and seriously ladies you've made me the happiest girl ever! I'm hoping we can get a group shot of us together so you can't forget me : )

In 1 week I will be heading to where my heart is. I'm finally reuniting with my little family down in Tampa and creating a whole new life. I can't wait to be with them! We drove Max, Jake and Rocky down to our home at the end of August and I've only had the time to visit him once for 1 day while we've been apart. It is going to be amazing!!! I've missed them so much! But the packing is a little difficult. It's not like I can drive back and get anything I forget LOL! And diet brain again destroys lots of my momentum.

So, by everything I do mean everything. LOL! This whole week/weekend is going to be mind blowing. I'm going to meeting some of you ladies for the first time even though we know each other on facebook. I'm going to be with some of my old friends that I have known for years and from other aspects of my crazy little life. I'm going to be surrounded by so much love from friends and family that are coming to show support. I'm going to enjoy every single second of all this. Embrace each and every emotion. Take loads of photos, so ladies/gents get ready! Take it all in and be grateful for this amazing life I have created and love each and every person that has changed my life for the better.

Love you all and see you Saturday!!
That means 2 1/2 more weeks of work and 4 weeks until I leave New England for my new home in Tampa. I'm so excited, sad and nervous for the amazing change that's about to happen. Life is such a great adventure and I'm pumped to go along for the ride.

Prepping for this show has been completely different and I've had a different mindset through it all. These next couple of weeks are going to be the toughest. Not just with training but spending time with the amazing people in my life. I'm surrounded by the most loving and encouraging people and I'm totally grateful for you all. I could never survive these last couple weeks without Max if I didn't have you guys to lift me up when I'm sad or kick me in the butt when I wanna be lazy. Thank you sooo much!

Along with the prep for this show I've had the honor of connecting with so many new people who are inspiring me to work harder than ever and I can't wait to meet you all at this show! We are totally going to rock the stage, weekend and even the building!! Providence, RI isn't going to be the same after we're done!

With all that being said let's kick it into high gear and kill these next couple weeks. If you're already in high gear let's get to turbo! We're in the home stretch of reaching our goal and we'll miss all this prep when we're done. Enjoy every minute (even of cardio), every bite of food (even if you're chicken'd or tofu'd in my case out), every appointment for the beautification of you (even if it's a million dollars) and be proud of the end product that graces the stage. Here's to us!!!!
LOL! The last time I posted I was getting ready for my first time competing with the WBFF. Well, that was such an amazing experience that I'm getting ready to compete with them again! This time is a little different than last. I wasn't very happy with my placing at last show and it had nothing to do with the judges, politics, or any of the basic stuff people complain about when they're unhappy. It was on me. I had started a new job, though that's no excuse, trying to figure out my schedule and training (and trying not to overtrain) was a huge challenge. After that show I used my disappointment as fuel to dust myself off and just go at it harder than before. I started back at the gym the Monday after the show and decided I was going to kill it. During that week I decided I was going to compete again with the WBFF on November 3rd in Providence, RI. That was it. I felt I needed to redeem myself.

I had the crazy thought I was going to try and train myself but that ended up not being the case. Unfortunately, we tend to be our worst critics and strive for perfection. No matter how many people tell you you look great you still can find something that's wrong. So, after a month or so I started talking with people and heard amazing things about www.HitchFit.com from Coryn Martin who is a WBFF Pro (http://www.facebook.com/#!/CorynEliseCC) and my friend Crista who is a part of my www.facebook.com/destinedtobedivas. I contacted Diana and Micah and found out they have a vegetarian program. How amazing! So, I signed up and I couldn't be happier with the program. It's completely different and I've seen some amazing results! Hopefully, they will be here in Boston for the show and I'll have the chance to meet them : )

Now while all of this was happening my boyfriend got an opportunity of a lifetime! He was called by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to be a professional wrestler. It's literally his dream job! Well, for any of us wrestlers it's our dream job. LOL. It's truly a blessing and an amazing experience. Only problem being we need to relocate to Tampa, FL. This is amazing in every way except I had my goal set to compete on November 3rd and I'm determined to improve from my last showing. My boyfriend, being the amazing man he is, decided I was staying here in Boston and reaching my goal.

With that being said, at this current moment my cat, my dog, my furniture, and my BOYFRIEND are now in Tampa. We moved them across the country the last week of August. I'm currently living at his parents house (who I refer to as the roommates) and getting ready to visit Tampa for the weekend. (So freakin excited!!) This visit marks our half way point until I move and leave New England for good. My flight is booked for November 6th to move permanently to Florida.

At this moment in time this show now means so much more than just redeeming myself. It'll be the last weekend I'll be living in New England. The last competition I'll be doing in New England. And the last competition my family will be local enough to come and cheer my on. They have made plans to come and stay the weekend with me and I'm so incredibly happy. My boss and clients will be attending and I'll be with some of my best friends and some new friends that I've made just by prepping for this show. So, if you are in New England and would like to see entertain (unfortunately not in a ring this time lol) in the area come to this show. www.newenglandfitnessweekend.com . I would love to enjoy the day with everyone!

Now you know why when my alarm goes off each morning at 3:55 am I get right up and go to the gym. Why I prep my food and never think of a relax meal. Why it's so important that I don't skip my workouts. I have so much to look forward to and no time to waste. No regrets to be had. I want to be up on that stage looking my absolute best and know no matter what I gave this contest prep everything I have. Nikki Raczynskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13364206592728968907noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5976707484642182179.post-59134978453432870302012-05-27T09:12:00.001-04:002012-05-27T09:12:25.417-04:00A little help from my friends...In one week I'll be competing on The WBFF (www.WBFFshows.com) stage for the first time. I have never competed on a show for this company but I went to support my friend as she rocked the stage and fell in love! So, now I've been killing myself in the gym and trying to fit work and life in between. LOL! Trying to fit a workout in while working a 10 hr shift is a little difficult. You can't go back to work sweaty and gross. Well, I can but I think my ladies might have something to say about it! With that being said and know so many people try and balance the day like I do, I ask some of my favorite ladies for a little help. My first question being....What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, make up, certain outfit) And why? My second question being.... What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout? Here's what they had to say!

Monique Pliakos-some of you local fans will know the gorgeous Monique from Chaotic Wrestling.
What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
*MAC concealer- I am super pale and have dark under eye circles. Without this I would look like something out of a horror movie!
*Chapstick-every gal should have soft lips.
*Chuck Taylor All Star high and low tops (colors vary). I can do anything in these, walk, run, dance and I look good in them! Plus, I get a variety of colors to choose from!
*Victoria Secrets "Love Addict" Fragrance Mist- This stuff smells terrific! There are lots of different ones to choose from. One smells like cotton candy, but be careful with that one, some may tell you "you smell like a carnival".

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
I workout at home, so usually I shower right after, but If I can't shower after an intense workout, I always try to get some cold water on my face to help cool down, drink lots of water to rehydrate and once I'm not sweating like a beast anymore, I do a quick make-up touchup. I throw on some extra deodorant and my Victoria Secrets "Love Addict" to help prevent being stinky. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but my hair gets crazy so I always need to use some hairspray to tame my hair down a notch.

April Hunter-If you don't know this girl you live under a rock! Centerfold, wrestler and all around fun lady. You can peep her website at www.AprilHunter.com . This woman is the reason I ever stepped in the ring or in the gym. <3 her!
What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
colored lip gloss and a nude lip pencil. Mineral powder makeup. Sunscreen. A ponytail holder.

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
I do fasted cardio in the morning and don't shower til I go to bed, so...I'm a huge fan of THE BABY WIPE. That, with a spritz of perfume and a swipe of more deodorant, then off to work. No complaints yet!

Cat Powers-My Canadian twin! You guys will know her from dominating the rings in Canada and Shimmer. Pretty sure we share a brain!

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
I can't live with out my Degree Body Spray since I discovered it. My scent is Sexy Intrigue and it's my favorite scent. I also really like Avon Naturals body lotion and body spray in almost every scent. I am OCD when it comes to smelling good and I love trying new scents all the time.

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
The best fresh tip is for sure Baby Wipes and (of course a good body spray) ;) or baby powder. And throw a couple of Bounce sheets in ur gym bag so ur new fresh clothes have a clean laundry smell. Then take ur yucky gym clothes and throw it in a Zip Lock Baggie so it does not mingle with any clean clothes.

Ariel-My amazing tag partner, wife and soon to be amazing mother of twin girls! This lady will be the queen of convenience and currently my diva wife : )

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
Fashion Wise...Cant live without eyeliner and lip gloss. I'm not very good at makeup...I absolutely love being all dolled up and made up but I suck at it...so just doing eyeliner and lip gloss gives me that feeling that I'm girly enough without all the extra work!

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
The freshen up after a work out...as you all know I'm not a crazy workout person...but I would definitely agree that baby wipe is a lifesaver and it just makes you feel rather refreshed after working out if you don't have time to go shower. They even have scented baby wipes....like I had some before that were cucumber melon so if you used them it didn't even smell like baby wipes... :)

Madison Rayne-this little hottie will be stepping on a whole different kind of stage in 4 weeks! She'll be competing in the Bikini Division and I'm sure she's gonna kill it! You all know her from SpikeTV's Impact Wrestling and though I did lose my career to her how can you know love that gorgeous face!!!

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
CANNOT live without a little concealer for under eyes (because who really gets 8 hours of sleep regularly?!), mascara and some Chapstick or clear gloss. Clean skin is so pretty do I try to keep it as minimal is possible. Also cant go w/o an extensive collection of gum/mints. When you have to eat every 2-3 hours, it helps when brushing isn't available.

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
deodorant, a little VS very sexy body spray and a sports wipe. Playtex makes Sport Body Wipes. They're individually wrapped wipes for post workout/sweat fest. They smell really clean and they're easy to carry!!!

Kellie Skater (RateTank)-You guys know here for being hugely diesel! This Aussie kills it in the ring and in the gym. Trust me! I've seen it! (No roo steroids used!)

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
My chucks. Always been in love with those shoes and they can have fun designs which attracts my hyper mind :p

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
I usually shower after, but if I cannot. Cool water to try get less beet red and tame my frizzed out hair, then towel off. Deodorant up.

Bonnie Rain Maxon-Love this amazing girl! And always helps me with my fashion issues. She has taught herself how to be her own beautician. Always amazing me : )

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
1. I can not leave the without coloring in my eye brows, so an eye brow pencil.
2. I can not leave the house without mascara. I'm obsessed with big, long, black eye lashes.

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
1. I do not leave the house w/ out my deodorant on. I wear the new Secret blend, still sticking w/ a powder fresh smell.
2. Also, without a quick spritz of perfume or body spray.

Courtney Rush-this woman has been BUSY!! Over in Japan, here in the states and all over Canada. She's a hardworker and just as dorky as myself : ) If you haven't seen her work umm, get to it!!!

What can't you live without? (i.e. perfume, makeup, certain outfit, etc)
Can't live without....hand sanitizer. A must for this lil germaphobe

What tips can you give for a quick freshening up after an intense workout?
If you don't have time/grossed out for a quick shower at the gym, then bring babywipes and complete change of clothes with some bodyspray and low ponytail holder under a ballcap to hide sweaty hair!

Thank you ladies for helping me out with these questions! Love you all and miss you all terribly!!! <3
I love these and hopefully you guys will too!

Ingredients
1/4 cup of canned pumpkin (NOT PUMPKIN MIX)
1 packet of Truvia or Splenda
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 large egg whites
Cinnamon

I mix all of these ingredients together in a bowl in no particular order until it is smooth. It takes a few since the pumpkin tends to be lumpy but try to mix into a smooth batter.

Then add the mixture to a frying pan that's been sprayed with cooking spray. I made 3 pancakes with this recipe.

These don't necessarily work the same as regular pancakes. You want them to cook for about 4 mins on medium heat or until they are a little lighter through the middle. Flip and cook for about the same amount of time on the other side. Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn.

I will usually add my Morning Star Breakfast Sausage with these to add some extra protein. Plus, they taste freakin great!
It's understandable. You can't always be 100% on track. It'll make you crazy! But so many people are cheating everyday and not realizing it. When you "sneak" a bite here and there or use the mentality, "Well I've been good all day I can have just a little bit", it all adds up. Yes your metabolism needs a little jolt after eating clean for a week or so but you have to earn it. You need to have that week of eating clean with no hiccups before you can have your reward.

Let's also try and change the mentality of having a "cheat meal". It's not a cheat, it's a reward for the hard work you put in during the week. And it's not an entire day of rewards. You reward yourself with 1 meal. During the week when you feel like you're going to give in just remember the reward that awaits if you can stay on track and how great it's going to be since you earned it. Find replacements for what you're craving or go for a walk, leave the kitchen or the environment that's causing you to feel like you're going to cave in. If you do cave in you need to give up that reward meal and wait until the following week. It sounds difficult and hard to do but once you see the results you'll be so happy and those reward meals will taste that much better. Plus you're tough! You can do this!Nikki Raczynskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13364206592728968907noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5976707484642182179.post-18515483606840500472012-02-26T19:44:00.000-05:002012-02-26T19:44:09.462-05:00Omeletes To GoHey everyone!

I know everyone has busy schedules and myself included. One of the biggest problems with staying on track for most people is having time to cook and prepare themselves for the day. This recipe totally helped me out and still totally do. It's totally an omelet on the go!

What you need:
Muffin Tin (I use a bigger muffin tin. This way I can make 6 meals with it)
Cooking Spray
Egg Whites
And...what ever you'd like in your omelet!

Pre heat your oven to 375. Spray down your muffin tin with cooking spray. Since I use the bigger tin so I can fit 3 egg whites in 1 cup. I made veggie omelets so I added in chopped mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic and spinach.

Pop these guys in the oven for about 20-25 mins depending on your oven. I usually watch for the edges to turn brown. You cook these up and you'll have breakfast for a week : ) You can make different ones in each cup. The possibilities are endless!
Since I'm a pizza lover he found a great way for me to still have pizza even when it gets close to competition. He's a lifesaver!!!!

Ingredients:

Large Portobello Caps
grape/cherry tomatoes
Sun-dried tomatos
Basil
Low-fat/Veggie Slice Cheese

Preheat your oven to 375. Start by gutting your mushroom caps. I use a spoon to make them little bowls.

Put a rack on a cookie sheet that will keep them off the cookie sheet and place them caps up.

Tomatoes:

Cut your grape/cherry tomatoes in half and slice up your sun-dried tomatoes. Place them on a separate cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Roast both the caps and tomatoes for about 7-10 minutes depending on your oven. Try to keep an eye on them to make sure you don't burn them.

Remove both cookie sheets and mix tomatoes together. Flip caps over and spoon tomato mixture into the caps. Slice up your basil and add as much as you'd like to the mini pizzas. Sprinkle your cheese over top and pop these bad boys back into the oven just to melt the cheese. This usually takes about 8 minutes for the Veggie Slice Cheese. Unfortunately, I'm unsure on the low-fat cheese so just keep an eye on them.

Enjoy everyone!Nikki Raczynskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13364206592728968907noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5976707484642182179.post-27754399904127142012-02-12T19:32:00.000-05:002012-02-12T19:32:37.417-05:00All we are saying is give fats a chance!

So many times I see people's nutrition logs or chat with them about different options for food and I hear, "But it was low fat." Eck! Low fat doesn't mean it's good for you. It's the same idea for organic foods. Just because it's made organically it doesn't mean that it's healthy or going to help you reach your weight goal. Since the hype of "Low fat" has come around obesity rates in the US have doubled. People have been taught for years now that fat is a bad thing. They have also embraced the thinking that if it's low fat I can eat more of it. We need to change this way of thinking.

Firstly, there is good fats and bad fats. Good fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These good fats help with your heart, cholesterol and well being in general. The other great thing about these fats is they will help you stay full longer. You body processes these fats at a slower rate. Therefore, you'll take in less calories. Some examples of monounsaturated fats are avocado, canola oil, peanut oil, nuts, sesame oil. Some examples of polyunsaturated fats are pumpkin, sunflower or flax seeds, fatty fish and tofu.

Bad fats are trans fats and saturated fat. These fats usually look pretty solid at room temperate and increase disease and increase cholesterol. Saturated fat can be found in fattier cuts of red meat, whole-fat dairy product and butter. Trans fats are mostly found in processed, sugary and packaged foods. The best way to stay away from trans fats is, the closest the product is to it's natural form the better.

If I could put this in a dorkier analogy, the "bad fats" are the dark side (being that they solidify at room temperature). The "good fats" are Jedi's (being that they are more clear oils).

Some easy ways to switch from the dark side is:

-Cooking sprays while cooking or canola oil instead of butter
-Switching to lower fat dairy products
-Leaner cuts of meat or switching to chicken or fish
-Limit fast food intake
-Bake, grill or broil instead of frying foods

Now that you're armed with some more knowledge let's see how amazingly you'll do in switching over your nutrition and reaching for those healthier goals.

Sorry for the cliff hanger! Life gets in the way sometimes and for me it sure did. I've decided to move from my lovely home here in Manchester, NH to Framingham, MA. While making this decision I've also been training for another competition that will be in 2 weeks from today. So, I'll compete on the 25th, move out by the following Wednesday, fly out to Chicago for Shimmer weekend on the 1st, come home and attend a fairytale wedding the following weekend for Ariel and BMT. That's not busy at all! LOL! I have also received an opportunity for a new job that will start November 1st and what a great opportunity! I love the woman I'll be working for and can't wait to get started : )

So with all that being said, back to my story. The following morning I totally woke up with a hand print on my side. LOL! It looked like the Blair Witch kids came and got me! Poor Max had to re-tan the area like 5 times since most of us competitors go a little crazy before prelims. And by a little I mean waking up at 4 am if you even slept some the night before in straight panic to get everything absolutely perfect.

After I was all touched up I headed over to the hotel where the competition was to have my make up done by PBO. They did a wonderful job but now it all hurry up and wait until it was our turn to hit the stage. Lucky for me I had Kristen with me to keep me sane during all the waiting. First up is sportswear for the bikini division. This is perfect! You get to have the most fun in a costume and by the time you need to head back out to do your figure poses the stage fright is gone! I picked the Terminator and had an awesome fake shot gun. You see everything from a ninja with real swords to a cheerleader.

So we are all lined up and there is 44 girls in the tall division alone. 44! As I'm about to go out on stage I think of all the girls that have walked this stage before me. My own coach, Janelle Nicolo, Lori Harder, Annette Perry and so many other girls that are role models to me. I loved every minute of it! I heard my teammates and coaches yelling and the rush is amazing! The sad thing is it only lasts about a minute total. LOL! Luckily I was competing in another division and had 3 more opportunities to work that stage. In the end I placed 25 out of 44 girls at a national show. I'm pumped! It gave me something to work towards and didn't completely crush me.

Currently I'm working towards a show that will be at Regis College in Weston, MA on Sept 25th. If you have any interest in this new life of mine come on out and see the show. Some many men and women work their butts off and you can see it that day. Sometimes it's people's first show, some it's their 100th. I would love to hear the cheers that I miss from wrestling and you can see my new sportswear. It's gonna be amazing!

Hugs!
(In my head I have the Simpson's Hi Dr. Nick response for you guys lol)

Last weekend I competed in the biggest fitness competition I have ever been a part of. It was absolutely amazing! I competed at Fitness Universe. It is a national show with international competitors. It was such an experience!

It all started for me Wednesday, June 15th. I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale and meet up with my amazing coach and friend Janelle Nicolo. She was nice enough to let me be her roomie for the night since I had a lovely change of plans courtesy of a certain wrestling company I choose not to name. But apparently the universe just had different plans for me and I was so happy to spend time with Janelle.

Thursday morning we had registration which I for whatever reason blanked out and almost overslept. It's the most important part of the entire weekend and yea I flaked on it. It was actually a tweet from Lori Harder that was the dope slap I needed lol. Thank goodness I decided to follow her. I scrambled and got down to registration as fast as I could and saw the lovely face of amazing friend Diana, who just turned 50 and has the hottest body ever, and the also lovely Beth. We chatted for a few and then I headed to the end of the long, long, long, did I say long? Long line for registration. There I bumped into Kristen. Kristen was in my division at Mohegan and place overall at the Mohegan show. She is absolutely stunning! She was there with her super supportive hubby Mike and we all hit it off. Lucky for Kristen, I became glued to her hip! ;) (of course this is sarcasm)

After registration I had the honor of booking a photo shoot with John Atherton who is known as Coach A. This photo shoot was amazing! I absolutely loved the whole experience and his wife Terri is so lovely to be around! Just wait till you see the photos! 2 words... AH-MAZING!

Finally after the shoot Max landed in Miami and got his butt over to the hotel and met up with Kristen, Mike and myself. Now it was game on! Bikini sportswear was at 8 am Friday morning and I needed to get painted! LOL. Lucky Max who gets to stay up the whole night with me and make be part umpa lumpa. I also had a 8 am make up appointment PerfectBodyOnline.com . These ladies are amazing! Deb you are the best and keep everything totally organized. Lindsay you are the best sunshine first thing in the morning! Heart you!!!! The make up artist, hair stylist and professional tanning are just perfection.

So after about 5 layers of pro tan I finally get to sleep or attempt to lol. Do I wake up with random hand prints in the morning from sleeping? Do I destroy the hotel bed sheets and pillow cases? Do I actually get dark enough with this much freakin paint on me???

Firstly I hope you enjoy the new page : ) I'm going to do a Tip of the Week and hopefully get some video up on that too. I would love some feedback or comments.

So, as the title here says 3 1/2 weeks. I have 3 1/2 weeks until my next competition in Miami. It is Fitness America's Universe show which will be in Miami, FL. It's is going to be amazing! I'm so excited! At the last competition I did I placed 5th in the Figure Tall division. It was my first time in about 2 years competing in that division. How exciting! I can't wait to see what this show will bring. I think the hardest part of this next show is the down time in between shows. Any time prior, if I was doing mulitiple shows, I would have them 2 weeks a part tops. This is like a whole new experience. I got this tho! LOL.

If you are in the New Hampshire area and wanna get a great workout and for a good cause stop by the Workout Club in Manchester, NH on June 4th.
Will have another blog up soon!
